REVIEWS AND TESTIMONIES
"Working with Tom is an absolute delight in every way; his attention to detail, his care for his team and his generous words are enriching of any production. His approach to directing is refreshingly ‘Strasz’; it carries his unique voice throughout and he’s not afraid to make work that challenges perceptions, makes his audiences think (and work!), and is both aesthetically beautiful and ecologically mindful. I can’t wait to see where this talented Director’s career takes him next." Community participant, Heaven and Earth in Little Space.
"...the street versions benefit from a tighter focus, a freer spirit of performance and Tardis-like wagon designs. This year's artistic director and Pageant Master, Tom Straszewski, has shown innovation in teaming five Old Testament plays with five New Testament stories..." York Mystery Plays 2018, York Press
“Straszewski demonstrated his knowledge of the text and his ability to intricately dissect a play... raw, intimate theatre.” Henry IV: A Pub Wake, One & Other Magazine
“Skilled and imaginative... seriously good theatre.” Dracula, Arts York
"His demonstration and his amazing ability to teach and direct simultaneously was, in my opinion, the most educational part of our entire journey." Dr Robin Mello, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
“Straszewski makes a persuasive argument for the play's reappraisal by stretching its focus beyond noblemen squabbling.” Richard II, York Press
